1903 Mount Newton Cross Road

Council is considering a motion to defer and refer back to staff adjustments to RFP evaluation criteria for the disposition and redevelopment of 1903 Mt. Newton Cross Road, Central Saanich, the current municipal hall, police, and fire hall site and the largest parcel in Saanichton Village. The District has launched a public engagement process, with the Let’s Talk Central Saanich page (https://www.letstalkcentralsaanich.ca/civicredevelopment) seeking input on a shared vision for the property. No project scale or development form is included in the referral. A staff report to Committee of the Whole will follow.

A rezoning application has been submitted for 1903 Mt. Newton Cross Road in Central Saanich. The applicant is proposing a land use change, and the application will be considered at a public meeting on May 4, 2026. No outcome has been announced at this time.
